Traveling Vizsla Trophy
I was given the task of fixing the First Place Traveling Trophy for the Vizsla Community, Vizsla Derby Award Trophy.
To replace this trophy would of cost hundreds of dollars. The trophy was broken in several places from the base.
After studying the trophy I knew that I could fix the trophy so it was like new.

I started with the vizsla dog that was broken off from the base in several places.
With Rock Hard Water Putty I started to fill in gaps and sculpt the dog where it was broken.
Another view of the sculpting process. Work on the tail and legs.
Filling in the cracks of the dog and working on the ear.
After sculpting and filling in cracks of the dog I test fitted it onto the trophy.
I noticed that the legs and feet need some work to fit.
Working on the dog I had to improvise to fix one of the legs. Using a plastic giraffe toy, I cut and fitted
the giraffe leg onto the dog . Sculpting and working around the leg I once again made a test fit.
It is looking good. The leg is unnoticable and now it is time to adhere the dog to the base of the trophy.
Now it is time to start the painting process. I matched the paint color of the original trophy with the
paints that I would be using for the trophy fix.
This is the under / base coat of the dog. A nice looking dog!
More painting continues.
Even more painting continues on the dog.
Highlite and details are being painted in.
Painting thus far, looking good.
Almost finished, just some touch ups and cleaning and the trophy will be finished.

The finished trophy. All the colors used matched the original colors.
The trophy was finished in such a fashion that I was told by many
that you would never have even known that the trophy was broken then fixed.
