What is HorrorHound Weekend?
HorrorHound Weekend is part of a mid-west Horror Convention circuit. Fans will be able to meet some of icons in horror history (photo ops and autograph sessions) while shopping around for some of the newest to rare classic horror toys, t-shirts, posters, displays, dvds, masks and other assorted goodies.

I attended HorrorHound Weekend in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 6-8, 2007. I helped out with the Warbranch Productions booth since we were promoting Warbranch’s first short video on dvd “The Shack”. All who worked on this video was encouraged to attend.

David (me), Mike, Dan, Stephanie, Terence, and Wade

Each day of the convention we SOLD OUT of copies of “The Shack”. Overall for the entire three days 150 dvds were sold at the convention price of $5.00.

I want to thank Dan Head for busting his ass to get copies made of the dvd and to Larry Jones for being such a salesman. Without these two putting in 100% or more things would not have turned out the way they did.

I wondered the convention. I got to meet a legend, Sammy Terry, Tony Todd (The Candyman), Chris Jericho (WWE wrestler), Sid Haig (Captain Spaulding), Ken Foree (various), Bill Moseley (Otis Driftwood), Electra and Elise Avellan (Grindhouse twins), Tom Savini (SFX guy), Tommy Lee Wallace (Michael Myers), Michael Bailey Smith (various) Jennifer Lim (Hostel), Kevin Spirtas (Days of our lives, Friday the 13th), Clayton and Sharon Hill (various), Melissa Bacelar (various), Brenna Lee Roth (various), and Black Betty (2007 Scream Queen).
Some of these people I have met before.

I did not get autographs or pictures with all of them since I was working at this convention. I did not want to seem to be a fan boy or unprofessional. Getting to meet and talk with these people was an honor. I did get a few pictures. I must say that Kevin Spirtas was a very nice and friendly guy. I wish I could have spent more time with him. ;)

A special HorrorHound Film Festival will be presented by Bloody-Disgusting during the weekend; all sorts of movies were played.

I did see

I am not a comedy-horror type person. I like my movies to be dark, scary, and emotional. The movie did have a few funny parts in it but overall I was not to thrilled with it. To me it was a basic zombie type movie but instead of people zombies you had killer zombie sheep. Bbbbaaaaaaaaaa-crap.

There is also a Horror Museum.  Not worth the $5.00 admission.

I go to meet up with some friends, make new friends, and overall had a great time. Very soon at the end of July I am going up to the Chicago area for another horror convention to work at the Troma booth. I am sure it is going to be a fun time to be had.
